Investment Options
REST offers easy to understand investment options. If you have $1000 or more in your REST account, you can mix and match any of REST's investment options to suit your needs.

Core Strategy - offers a mix of defensive and growth assets within the one portfolio
Structured options - offer diversification across asset classes to match different investor needs
Member-tailored options - allow you to operate your own portfolio from a variety of asset pools
Default options
The default option for REST and REST Personal is the Core Strategy. The default option for REST Pension is the Balanced option.
Acumen's default option varies from one sub-plan to another. Not all Acumen members can make an investment choice. Your benefit schedule (part 2 of the Product Disclosure Statement) will let you know your default option and whether an alternative investment choice is available to you.
Choosing the best option for your needs
Before making an investment choice, it is important to consider your financial objectives in light of the amount of risk you are comfortable with. To help with your decision:
Switching your investment options
Certain life events might be a good time to review your investment options and possibly make a switch such as:
- Getting married
- The birth of a child
- Receiving an inheritance
- Receiving a redundancy payout.
You can change your investment options at any time. The easier way to do this is through
MemberAccess.
- Your switch will become effective 10 days after REST receives your request.
- The first four investment switches per financial year are free. A $20 fee applies per switch thereafter.
- A fee of 25c a week applies to REST members choosing any of the Structured or Member-tailored options. This fee does not apply to REST Personal or REST Pension members.
