Home Acumen Unit Prices & Crediting Rates
If your super is invested in the Core Strategy, a crediting rate is applied to your account balance each week. Earnings are credited to your account at the end of each year, or earlier if you leave the fund or switch out of the Core Strategy. Your credited earnings may be positive or negative.
When investing in a Structured or Member Tailored option you are buying units in that option. The value of your account will change depending on the current unit price. Your member statement will show your account balance as a dollar value and as a number of units.
*The latest return displayed above for the Core Strategy investment option may not be the return used if you switch or withdraw from the Core Strategy. When you switch or withdraw your benefits, the crediting rate that is normally used is the rate obtained from the latest valuation that has been loaded onto the administration system at the time that your transaction is processed. The 'as at' date in the table above is the last day of the valuation period.
The Core Strategy returns in the above table are the crediting rates - the actual rates credited to members. For REST and Acumen, the earning rates for the years ended 30 June 2008 to 30 June 2011 differed from the crediting rate due to adjustments to the reserves. For the year ended 30 June 2007, the crediting rate was the earning rate. For years ended 30 June 2006 and earlier, the earning rates differed from the crediting rates as adjustments were made to reserves. For Pension, the earning rates for the years ended 30 June 2008 to 30 June 2010 differed from the crediting rates due to adjustments to the reserves. For the year ended 30 June 2011, the crediting rate was the earning rate. Returns are shown after the deduction of investment management fees and tax on investment earnings. Pension options are untaxed. The latest returns are not annualised. The unit prices reflect the estimated performance of each investment option after the deduction of investment management fees and tax on investment earnings. Pension options are untaxed. Unit prices are generally declared on a twice-weekly basis or at month's end. If there is a discrepancy between the returns and unit prices on this website and what is on REST's administration system, figure(s) on the administration system will apply. Past performance is not an indication of future performance.
