If you pay Superannuation Guarantee (SG) contributions to one or more employees you can become a REST contributing employer. Becoming a contributing employer means that you agree to abide by the REST trust deed and its rules.

You can still pay contributions for an existing REST member without joining REST but you will only be considered a 'provisional' employer. Provisional employers do not receive any of the services or benefits associated with being a contributing employer.

Benefits of being a contributing employer

  • Online management of your contribution payments via our secure website - EmployerAccess
  • Personalised service from REST's Client Service Managers and our Employer Service Centre

How your employees can join REST

The majority of individuals join REST through the REST employer-sponsored division, where employers can make regular ongoing contributions for their employees.

Your employees should read the REST Member Guide Product Disclosure Statement (PDS). Some of the information in this document will also be of interest to you.

For employees to join REST:

  1. You must first add them to your EmployerAccess account - they will then receive a Welcome Letter confirming their member details.
  2. They can then login to MemberAccess online, download the Member Guide and accept the terms and conditions of REST membership.

Once they've logged in to MemberAccess, employees can update any personal, beneficiary and investment details, explore their insurance options and sign up to receive eStatements.

Other ways of contributing to REST

If you prefer not to use our online facility or you don't want to be considered a contributing employer you will need to contact us on 1300 305 775.
