Are you looking for your next career move within the Superannuation & Insurance Industry? At Rest we are passionate about delivering the best outcomes for our members and are looking for an experience Compliance Manager to assist us in developing and maintaining the Compliance Framework that underpins our success as an organisation.

Rest offers a range of development programs with the aim of supporting you to achieve your personal best at work. Your role will report to the Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance, you will be an integral part of the Risk & Compliance team, working with likeminded professionals to provide an outstanding 2nd line of defence to the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Play a leading role in developing, maintaining and monitoring Rest’s Compliance Framework.
  • Assist in ensuring Rest’s compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Play a leading role in the management of the Incidents/Breach Process.
  • Act as a trusted partner to business areas across Rest through the provision of ‘second-line’ compliance assurance services through consultation and participation in projects and business initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and embedding of an appropriate culture and compliance awareness, including the design, delivery and monitoring of compliance training.
  • Work with external parties including internal/external auditors and regulators and ensure management action items raised by these parties are monitored and reported on as required.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, law, economics, business or equivalent.
  • Membership of professional bodies such as ASFA and the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RMIA) or the Australian Compliance Institute.
  • Proven experience in a compliance management role in the superannuation sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of compliance obligations as they relate to superannuation funds and superannuation trustees.
  • Sound understanding of frameworks designed to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Experience in incident management within a financial services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Experience in writing submissions.
