Thursday, 25 May 2017

Rest Industry Super, one of Australia’s largest super funds by membership with over 1.9 million members and $42bn in funds under management was awarded Best Fund: Innovation 2017 at the Chant West 2017 Super Fund Awards in Sydney on 24 May 2017.

The Best Fund Innovation award recognises the strength of Rest’s customer-led digital service, including interactive online member statements with an inbuilt consolidation tool, the provision of online ‘mobile first’ access to personalised financial advice, development of secure LiveChat on the Rest website and 24/7 member service through our virtual assistant ROGER, an artificial intelligence driven customer enquiry service.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Rest Chief Executive Officer Damian Hill commented on the progress Rest had made since first being awarded Chant West Super Fund of the Year in 2014.

“In 2014 we were recognised for our substantial heritage of low-fees and strong returns, for delivering real value to our customers. We’ve now been recognised for the evolution of our service offering and drive to become a fund renowned for customer experience that is digitally enabled – connecting with our members where they work, play and live their lives,” said Mr Hill.

“I’m proud of our entire team, who put the customer experience first, every day and with every decision. This is an outstanding achievement and should be a source of pride for our team, and a vote of confidence for every single one of our over 1.9 million members.

“It’s for every single one of our customers that our team comes in to work every day,” said Mr Hill.

As part of Rest’s commitment to the development and deployment of digital tools that provide empowering customer interactions, Rest will also shortly be launching a custom-developed app for members.

“We’re looking forward to launching a completely new mobile experience for our customers, which will extend our leadership in this space and continue our commitment to delivering value for every single one of our members,” said Mr Hill.
